This morning, May 31, 2007 at 9:30, Dorothy Beaulieu completed her task at the age of 88. Dorothy joined the Fellowship in the San Diego center in 1973 and taught ballet and dance to many students. She was a member of the Apollo center, and her gentle being will be remembered by those who knew her.

In 1976, I moved to San Diego with just a knapsack on my back, and met Dorothy, a gracious and elegant woman who had begun planning her retirement. Cleaning out her house and closets, she gave me a handful of colorful angora knitted sweaters, and kind advice. We stood together to burn her old papers in the patio of the teaching house. She was letting her old life go, starting anew. Her respect for others struck me as a keynote to her own dignity and character. Lucky to have known her.
