Genevieve Rosewood

May 2, 1950 - April 15, 2025

Dear friends,

Genevieve Rosewood, a beloved member of the Apollo Center of the Fellowship of Friends, completed her task on
Tuesday, April 15, 2025, dying of cancer and organ failure.

Genevieve was born on May 2, 1950, and joined the Fellowship in Washington, D.C., on her 26th birthday, May 2, 1976. Over the decades, she supported the school as a member of the Chicago, San Francisco, and Apollo centers. She was 74 years old on her last birthday.

A friend noted, “Although Genevieve endured a variety of health issues throughout her life, she consistently chose to transform her suffering into an ever-strengthening conscious light. She did not let her conditions prevent her from serving the school in her many octaves, whether for the Fellowship or Apollo Arts. She was there for you, when you were most in need. A true friend, a true inspiration for us all.”

On behalf of all who knew you, we give thanks.

The Elysian Society

Realize what the true object is in life, that it is not pleasure, not knowledge, not even fame itself,
‘that last infirmity of noble minds,’ but that it is the development of character,
the rising to a higher, nobler, purer standard, the building-up of the perfect Man,
and then, so long as we feel that this is going on, and will (we trust) go on for evermore,
death has for us no terror; it is not a shadow, but a light; not an end, but a beginning!
