Dear Friends,
Aya Thompson Yavin, a beloved member of the Fellowship of Friends, completed her task on Sunday, December 27, at 10:22 pm, in London, after three years of treatment for myeloma. Aya turned sixty-five on her last birthday in March.
Aya joined the School in London, on March 15, 1980. She lived in the teaching house for the last five years, always caring more for others than herself.
On behalf of all who knew you, we thank thee.
In loving presence,

Funeral Service Text: Aya Thompson 2020-12
A billion stars go spinning through the night, glittering above your head,
But in you is the presence that will be when all the stars are dead.
Rilke
Dear Aya, our moments together are still with me, and they will be with me.
Grateful for your human being and friendship. Each time I feel the wind blow on my cheeks or see a butterfly I am thinking of you….
With gratitude and happiness to you.
Your laugh, your smile, your advice, your love, you. Unforgettable!
See you there, Alex Ayuli
every time I met you, I was struck by your authenticity, your simplicity and your depth. You are like a soft ray of sunshine in my memory. Thank you, Aya!
