June 27, 1963 - May 7, 2021

Dear friends,

Kenneth Bruinsma, a beloved member of the Fellowship of Friends, completed his task due to cancer today, May 7, 2021, at 10:28 a.m. Kenneth turned 57 on his last birthday, June 27, 2020.

Kenneth joined the School in Toronto in 1993, and served over ten years as a center director there. Even in his last illness, his valuation for Robert and for the School was unflagging; presence remained his highest priority. A friend who was with him over the last months wrote, “My own experience of him during this period has been of a man entirely dedicated to his teacher, his friends and his own higher centres. He has demonstrated an inspiring ability to rise above his own suffering and stay true to his aim, with lightness, gentleness and good cheer.”
