Kenneth Wygal

September 2, 1940 - April 8, 2024

Dear Friends,

Kenneth Wygal, a beloved member of the Apollo Center of the Fellowship of Friends, completed his task at 5:32 pm today, April 8, from cancer.

Born on September 2, 1940, Kenneth turned 83 on his last birthday. He joined the school in Los Angeles on May 1, 1973. As Robert commented today, Kenneth was an integral part of the birth of Apollo, including the construction of the Festival Hall, the Galleria, the Winery, Theatron, and all aspects of remodeling and maintenance. He also headed the procurement and delivery of palm trees, camels, and water buffalo, as well as ibex, emus, and other exotic birds. Kenneth was known for his no-frills, common-sense approach which along with his love and devotion to Robert, served the School tirelessly over decades.

On behalf of all who knew and loved you, we thank thee.

In loving presence,
The Elysian Society

Funeral Service Text: Kenneth Wygal 2024-05

All goes onward and outward, nothing collapses,
And to die is different from what anyone supposed, and luckier.

Walt Whitman
