January 17, 1960 - August 6, 2014
Dear Friends,
Luca Bonvini, a beloved member of the Fellowship of Friends, completed his task from cancer, on Wednesday, August 6th at 6:30 am, in Nice, France. Luca was fifty-four years old.
Luca joined the Fellowship in September, 1986 in the Milan Center, moving to the Paris Center in 1989. While he traveled frequently to other centers like Venice, and was instrumental in opening the Beijing Center in 1995; most often Luca was part of the Paris Center, coming regularly to spend several months at a time at Apollo.
Whichever Center Luca lived in, he was there to open his heart to visitors, using his music to bring students together. In his final play, Luca did his best to transform, doing all he could to demonstrate his respect for Robert, Influence C, and his Work.
On behalf of all who knew you, we thank thee.

Funeral Service Text: Luca Bonvini 2014-08
Hearken to the reed flute;
This plaint of the flute is fire, not mere air.
‘Tis the fire of love that inspires the flute.

First student to request my friendship on Facebook. His magical flute lured me. xoxo
“After the dazzle of day is gone,
Only the dark, dark night
shows to my eyes the stars;
After the clangor of organ majestic,
or chorus, or perfect band,
Silent, athwart my soul,
moves the symphony true.”
Walt Whitman
