Maria Luisa Magagnoli
October 17, 1948 - November 20, 2022
Dear friends,
Maria Luisa Magagnoli, a beloved member of the Milan Center of the Fellowship of Friends, completed her task this morning, November 20, at 1:50 a.m., Italy time (4:50 p.m. on November 19, Apollo time).
Born on October 17, 1948, Maria Luisa joined the school on February 21, 1987, strongly and quietly supporting the work in the Milan Center until now. She was 74 on her last birthday.
Maria Luisa met her husband Maurizio Sala in the school and they married in 1992. As a writer, she published two books, one of which won an important Italian literary prize. She also was the editor-in-chief of the magazine Antiquariato. She became ill with cancer in 2016. Chemotherapy was endured from 2017 to 2021, at which time the aggressiveness of the treatment prohibited continuation.
Maurizio had just finished translating the Daily Card and sent it at 1:50 a.m. from the hospital, at which point he noticed that the breathing had stopped.
We thank thee.

Often in the past throughout my life,
I have considered the way you live happy,
and especially so now that you
bear your present misfortune so easily and lightly.
