August 16, 1976 - June 24, 2026

Dear friends,

Denis Tarasov, a beloved member of the St. Petersburg Center of the Fellowship of Friends, completed his task on June 24, 2026, due to a malignant brain tumor. 

Denis was born on August 16, 1976 and was 49 years old on his last birthday. He joined the Fellowship on August 26, 2007 and during his time in the School, Denis visited Apollo three times. 

Nadezda Burovzeva, the Center Director in St. Petersburg Center wrote: “Denis was an active student at the center, attending many of the center’s events and videos with Robert, and spending a significant amount of time with the students. The students remembered Denis as a very sympathetic student with an open and sunny essence. He always smiled happily and did not complain, even when he was already very ill.” She noted that he actively participated in octaves in the  St. Petersburg Teaching House, and was an octave leader at the recent White Nights events from June 11th to the 14th.  

He will be missed.
